The PanAm Championships are over and 5 US Teams win Gold. Nate Smith helped the Elite team take the Gold by taking the Gold in Open Men Slalom with 3 at 41 off. Kelly Zoellner helped the over 35 group win the Team Gold by taking the Bronze in Tricks and Silver in Jump and Overall. Mary Koenig helped the over 45 group win the Team Gold by earning silver medals in tricks, jump and overall. The Under 21 and Under 17 teams also took the Team Gold medal. Congratulations to our Midwest Skiers for their efforts and medals at the PanAm Championships.

At the PanAm Championships in Bogota Columbia Kelly Zoellner takes the Bronze in tricks, Silver in jump and overall, GOLD for the TEAM for the 35+ team. Mary Koenig takes Bronze in slalom, Silver in tricks and jump. Congratulations to our Midwest Skiers on a job AWESOMELY done.


PanAm Championships in Bogota, Columbia continued today. The Midwesterners skied well. Kelly Zoellner slalomed in the Prelims today skiing 5 at 28 off in the 35+ group. Mary Koenig also skied 5 at 28 off in the 45+ group. The trick finals were also today for the women and Kelly placed 3rd with 2610 points and Mary placed 2nd with 2680 points in their respective groups. The women end with jump and slalom in the finals tomorrow, Wednesday.


The PanAm Championships started Monday April, 14 in Bogota, Columbia. The Midwest is represented at this great event. In the Preliminary Round for the Women 35+ group, Kelly Zoellner jumped 113 feet and tricked 2390 points. In the over 45 group, Mary Koenig tricked 2270 points and jump 91 feet. The ladies will be slaloming tomorrow, Tuesday April 15, 2014, in the Prelims. Nate Smith will be competing later this week. His Preliminary round is on Thursday with the Finals on Saturday.
