In a few days Jeff Surdej will be leaving for San Bernardo, Chile to coach the USA Elite Waterski team in the World Waterski Championships. It’s the biggest and most prestigious event in all our sport and I’m very excited to go for the first time. The US has not won gold since 2007 so we are hoping to turn the tide as Canada and Belarus have won the last 2. There will be 200 athletes from 41 countries competing. Practice begins Saturday, Sunday, and Monday and then compete Tuesday through Sunday. Its a 6 member team and then we have about 15 independents competing as well. Jeff has started a travel blog that he hopes to update everyday so if you want to follow along check out the link here or follow twitter @USAWaterSki.
